Are you looking to correct stained, slightly crooked, or gapped teeth and achieve a flawless appearance? Veneers may be the solution for your smile.
Veneers offer patients a cosmetic alternative to more invasive smile-enhancing procedures. A veneer is a thin covering or simulated “tooth front” custom-made to match your teeth and enhance your smile. It is constructed from a hard stain-resistant material such as porcelain to match your natural teeth and lasts for a long time.
To achieve the look of natural teeth, porcelain is custom-fitted to your teeth and has a translucent finish to resemble natural tooth enamel. Natural tooth enamel does not reflect light immediately. Light passes through the enamel and reflects off the opaque tooth dentin underneath. The translucency of the veneers helps achieve the same effect.
Veneers serve many purposes and can be used to:
- Straighten crooked teeth
- Close gaps between teeth
- Brighten your dark, yellow, permanently stained, or discolored teeth
- Repair chipped or broken teeth
- Enhance your overall smile, making you feel younger, more attractive, and more confident
Veneers are relatively long-lasting and require minimal maintenance, but they are not suitable for everyone. Our Woodbridge dentist, Dr. Papini, can help you determine if veneers are a good option for you based on your individual dental needs and goals.
